  • How to install the V®350's monitor? (4) 03.01.2022

    Warning

    If you wish to control your Somfy RTS motorized gate via radio from the monitor, you must register the radio control before installing the monitor (the monitor must then be linked to the motorized gate through its power supply) or activate the button on the motorized gate, depending on the model.

  • How to install the V®350's outdoor panel? (2) 03.01.2022

    Recommendation

    Avoid installing the camera facing a light source. Visitor images be unsatisfactory. We recommend installing the outdoor panel at a height of approximately 1.60 m.

  • Can I link Somfy RTS equipment to my V®350 videophone? (2) 03.01.2022

    Yes, the monitor is equipped with a Radio Technology Somfy (RTS) transmitter. It's compatible only with devices equipped with Radio Technology Somfy (RTS).

  • How do I add a Somfy RTS device to the V®350? (4) 03.01.2022

    Press the touch-screen button corresponding to the location of the first device to be added.

    Unless contraindicated, you will then need to verify each step in order to move on to the next.

    Choose the icon which represents the product to be added:

    Press the PROG button for 3 seconds on an RTS transmitter already paired with this product. The product should respond. Refer to the product manual if it's a gate or garage door control.

    Press the touch-screen key corresponding to the arrow to pair the monitor with the product and proceed to the next step.

    Press the touch-screen corresponding to the arrow  to go back.

    Press the touch-screen buttons corresponding to the commands  and  check the paired product's response.

    If the carrier product responds correctly, press the touch-screen confirmation key .

    If the carrier product does not respond, press the touch-screen non-confirmation key  to repeat the previous steps.

    If you pressed , the paired product is displayed on the right side of the home screen.

     

    Repeat as many times as necessary to pair all RTS products to the V®350 monitor.

     

     

  • How to add the motorized gate to the memory of the V®350 monitor? (2) 03.01.2022
    • Put the monitor by the gate operator and power it through its power supply (A).
    • Press the touch-screen key corresponding to the location of the device to be stored.
    • Choose the icon that represents the products to be remembered:
      • Swinging gate
      • Sliding gate
    • Open the cover of your motorized equipment to access its electronics.
    • Press for two seconds on the Power button of your electronics (if you don't have this button, go directly to the next step). The indicator  lights up on the electronics.
    • Place the monitor on the target of the motor's electronics box (B). Important: The left side of the monitor must be placed on the target of the electronic box so that it's well detected by the motor's electronics.
      • Press the touch-screen key corresponding to the arrow  to pair the monitor with the product and proceed to the next step.
      • The  light on the motor blinks on and off (C).
    • Press the touch-screen buttons corresponding to the commands  and  to check the paired product's response.
      • If the carrier product responds correctly, press the touch-screen confirmation .
      • If you pressed on , the paired product is displayed on the right side of the home screen.

  • How to respond to a visitor with the V®350? (2) 03.01.2022

    The icon  flashes, the bell rings, and when a visitor presses the call button on the outdoor panel on the screen, their photo is displayed.

    Note: If the occupant does not answer the call, the monitor saves the visitor's photo before it stops ringing. To accept the call, press the "communication" icon :

    The icon  stays lit throughout the call. To end the communication, either press it again, open the gate or activate the electric lock.

    Note: if no action is taken, the maximum duration of the call is two minutes.

     

    The microphone on the indoor monitor and the loudspeaker on the outdoor panel are activated only after the call has been accepted. During the call, you can:

    • open the gate by pressing . Doing so will end the call.
    • open the electric lock/strike plate by pressing . Doing so will end the call.
    • take a picture of the visitor by pressing the camera button on the right side of the screen.
    • to control Somfy RTS equipment (driveway lighting, garage door, etc.), click on the touch-screen button corresponding to the  arrow.

    Note: the banner on the right displays the RTS products that have been paired with the monitor.

     

    Select the equipment by clicking on the touch-screen button to the right of the corresponding icon:

    Select the action to be taken (open/close, up/down or on/off) or click on the touch-screen button next to the  arrow to return to the RTS product list.

  • How to know if a visitor has shown up in your absence with a V®350? (2) 03.01.2022

    When a visitor rings your video phone in your absence, a picture is taken. The icon  on the monitor will then flash to let you know of their presence. .

    To view it, click on the icon .

  • How to manage photos in the V®350's memory? (3) 03.01.2022

    To view the photos in the memory, whether they were taken in your absence or manually, press the  icon. The following screen appears:

    Note: In the yellow area at the top left, X/XX indicates the number of the new photo and the number of photos not viewed. The blue area at the bottom left shows the date and time of the displayed photo.

    All unseen photos are surrounded by a yellow frame.

     

    From this screen, you can:

    • Move to the next picture by pressing the touch-screen key corresponding to the  arrow:

    Note: After beginning to scroll through the photos, the  arrow takes you to the previous photo and the  arrow to the next photo.

    • Delete the displayed photo by touching the trash can on the touch-screen :

    Note: Press the  touch-screen button to finalize the action.

    • Delete all photos by pressing the touch-screen button corresponding to .

    Note: Press the  touch-screen button to finalize the action.

    Note: Press the Home touch-screen button to return to the Home screen.

     

  • How to change the time on the V®350? (2) 03.01.2022

    To change the initial settings or add additional settings, press the yellow button on the right side of the monitor:

    • Select "Time"
    • You can choose either the 12 hour or 24 hour format.
    • Scroll using the intuitive buttons next to the arrows to increase or decrease the time. Same for the minutes.

    • Settings are in a Day/Month/Year format

  • How to store a group of RTS products on the V®350? (1) 03.01.2022

    For grouped control, you can add products similar to those already paired on the same channel (a second roller shutter, for example).

    To do so, press the yellow button on the side of the monitor, then select "Register a group of RTS products".

    Select the channel on which you'd like to add an RTS device and confirm.

    • Press the PROG button for 3 seconds on an RTS transmitter already paired with the product to be added.
    • Press the touch-screen key corresponding to the arrow to pair the monitor with the product and proceed to the next step.
    • Press the touch-screen corresponding to the arrow  to go back.
    • Press the touch-screen buttons corresponding to the   commands, then check the response of the paired product.

    If the device responds correctly, press the touch-screen confirmation key .

    If the device does not respond, press the touch-screen non-confirmation key  to repeat the previous steps.

    If you pressed , the home screen appears, and the group to which the product has been added shows the number of paired products.

  • How to delete an RTS product from the V®350? (1) 03.01.2022

    You can delete a product or group of products.

    Note: if you wish to delete a product from a group, you must delete the group and then again pair the product(s) you want to control with the monitor.

  • Can I set the opening delay of the electric strike on the V®350? (1) 03.01.2022

    Yes, you can set the activation time. By default, the time is set to 2 seconds, but there is also a setting for 5 and 10 seconds.

     

    To select either, press the yellow button on the side of the monitor, then select "Electric Strike Activation Time".

  • How to transfer photos from the V®350 to an SD card? (1) 03.01.2022

    A transfer is only available if a micro SD card (maximum 32 GB) has been installed beforehand.

    To do so, press the yellow button on the side of the monitor and select "Photo Transfer".

    Press the touch-screen confirmation key . When "100%" appears in the yellow area at the bottom of the screen, the transfer is complete.

    Press the "cross" touch-screen key to return to the settings screen or the home key to return to the home screen.

    Note: Photos are not erased from the monitor. To erase the photos, see the article on managing photos in the V350's memory.

  • How to adjust the volume of the V350's outdoor panel speaker? (1) 03.01.2022

    To adjust the volume of the outdoor panel speaker, use the provided screwdriver to turn the knob on the back:

    • clockwise to increase the volume
    • counterclockwise to decrease the volume

  • How to disable (or enable) the V350's beep from the call button? (1) 03.01.2022

    A beep sounds when the call button is pressed.

    To remove this beep or turn it back on, press and hold the call button for 5 seconds until you hear the status confirmation beep.

  • Which cable should be used to connect the V350? (1) 03.01.2022

    It all depends on the distance between the outdoor panel and the monitor :

    • Less than 100 m: Two wires, 0.5 mm² minimum
    • Between 100 and 150 m: Two wires, 0.75 mm² minimum

    We do not recommend the use of a telephone cable, as it's too small and may lead to malfunctions.

     

    If there's a second monitor

    If you install a second monitor, it should not be placed more than 50 meters from the first one. They need to be connected by two wires, 0.5mm² minimum.

  • How to connect a second monitor to the V350? (1) 03.01.2022

    You can connect a second monitor

    It should not be placed further than 50 meters from the first one.

    The two monitors need to be connected by two wires, 0.5mm² minimum.

  • How to install your V350 when using junction boxes? (1) 03.01.2022

    If you must use junction boxes to wire your videophone, use no more than two boxes between the outdoor panel and the monitor, and no more than one box between the monitor and the AC power supply.

  • What should you do when the video stops playing while you are using your V350? (2) 03.01.2022

    If the video image does not appear during a call on the V350, you'll need to perform a test on the equipment. To do so, set the outdoor panel next to the monitor.

    To connect them, you can use two 0.5mm² electrical wires. A short length is sufficient for this test (less than one meter).

    If the crackling stops, it's a local problem. Verify the following:

    • Make sure that there are no more than two junction boxes between the outdoor panel and the monitor,
    • Make sure that the connections in the junction box are correct, no wires outside the dominoes.
    • Make sure that the V350 cables are run in a different conduit than the gate cable in order to avoid interference.
    • Make sure that they are electrical cables (if the distance is less than 100m => 0.5mm² minimum, if the distance is between 100 and 150m => 0.75mm²) and not telephone cables.

    For other cases and if the equipment continues with this error, contact Somfy's consumer service.

     

  • What to do if you experience flickering while using your V350? (1) 03.01.2022

    If you notice flickering when using the V350, then you'll need to perform a test on the equipment. To do so, you need to place the outdoor panel next to the monitor.

    To connect it, you can use two 0.5mm² wires. A short length is sufficient for this test (less than one meter).

    If the crackling stops, it's a local problem. Verify the following:

    • Make sure that there are no more than two junction boxes between the outdoor panel and the monitor,
    • Make sure that the connections in the junction box are correct, no wires outside the dominoes.
    • Make sure that the V350 cables are run in a different conduit than the gate cable in order to avoid interference.
    • Make sure that they are electrical cables (if the distance is less than 100m => 0.5mm² minimum, if the distance is between 100 and 150m => 0.75mm²) and not telephone cables.

  • What to do if the ringer stops working while using your V350? (1) 03.01.2022

    If you notice that the ringer stops working when using the V350, you'll need to run a test on the equipment. To do so, you'll need to place the outdoor panel next to the monitor.

    To connect it, you can use two 5mm² electrical wires. A short length is sufficient for this test (less than one meter).

    If the ringing is restored, it's a local problem. Verify the following:

    • Make sure that there are no more than two junction boxes between the outdoor panel and the monitor,
    • Ensure that the connections in the junction box are correct, no wires outside the dominoes.
    • Ensure that the V350 cables are run in a different conduit than the gate cable in order to avoid interference.
    • Ensure that they're electrical cables (if the distance is less than 100m => 0.5mm² minimum, if the distance is between 100 and 150m => 0.75mm²) and not telephone cables

  • How to change the name tag on the V350? (1) 03.01.2022
    • Rotate the call button counterclockwise to the engraved mark, then remove it.
    • Remove the round membrane to access the name tag.
    • Write your name on the white label with a permanent marker and replace the label and its membrane in their housing.
    • Reassemble the call button on the outdoor panel using the marks, and turn it clockwise until it locks.

  • Which strike plates are compatible with the V350? (1) 03.01.2022

    The V350 connects to a 12V strike plate with 800 mA maximum.

    We were able to test the compatibility of the following strike plates:

    • BLYSS 860972
    • GEM GK 510-12
    • CDVI SR12
    • DIAX T290SIR12
    • THOMSOM 512272
    • CDVI GBR9011

     

  • Is it necessary to have a Somfy gate motor to setup a Somfy video door phone?  (1) 12.10.2018

    No, all our video door phones are compatible with motors from other brands featuring a dry contact input. 

  • Can a Somfy RTS video door phone be spliced to a Somfy io gate motorisation?  (3) 12.10.2018

    Yes, the motorisation will be wired-controlled through the dry contact input.

  • How to select the right video door phone for you? (1) 12.10.2018

    To select a video door phone model that’s right for you, decide which features seem most important to you:

    1. Image quality. Except for the V100, all our models have 7-inch screens. Certain models also come with a wide-angle camera for easily recognising your visitors.

    2. A programmable touchscreen interface for the interior monitor. V500 offers an intuitive interface with touchscreen.

    3. Visits history mode. Would you like to save the photos taken by your videophone? This will enable you to see who rang when you were away.

    4. Multi-unit management. Several more buttons can be added to the outside intercom for extra units. This configuration is available with the VsystemPro range.

    5. A badge reader or keypad module. Built into the call panel, the reader makes opening the gate easier. Available with the Vsystem PRO range.

  • Video door phone checklist (0) 12.10.2018

    The points to check before selecting a video door phone
    1. What is the distance between the interior monitor and the outside intercom? It shouldn’t be more than 100 to 150 meters away (up to 250m for VSystem Pro range) for the system to work. 
    2. Is there a power supply near the interior monitor? 
    3. Are two wires available to connect the monitor to the outside intercom? The wire gauge must be verified for the model selected and the distance. 
    4. Is there wiring connecting the outside intercom to the gate's motorised system and/or the electric latch release?
