• Put the monitor by the gate operator and power it through its power supply (A).
• Press the touch-screen key corresponding to the location of the device to be stored.
• Choose the icon that represents the products to be remembered:
  • Swinging gate
  • Sliding gate
• Open the cover of your motorized equipment to access its electronics.
• Press for two seconds on the Power button of your electronics (if you don't have this button, go directly to the next step). The indicator  lights up on the electronics.
• Place the monitor on the target of the motor's electronics box (B). Important: The left side of the monitor must be placed on the target of the electronic box so that it's well detected by the motor's electronics.
  • Press the touch-screen key corresponding to the arrow  to pair the monitor with the product and proceed to the next step.
  • The  light on the motor blinks on and off (C).
• Press the touch-screen buttons corresponding to the commands  and  to check the paired product's response.
  • If the carrier product responds correctly, press the touch-screen confirmation .
  • If you pressed on , the paired product is displayed on the right side of the home screen.

In order to avoid losing this screw, we made it captive. When you unscrew, you will feel that the screw will get fully free. This indicates that it is completely unscrewed!

Once your Keypad is well installed in its back cover, you can slide up the front face by a few millimeters, but you can only reassemble it completely by screwing the screw at the bottom of the front face.

This is probably due to a bad installation in the back cover. Unscrew and take out the front face from the back cover. Then replace again, making sure to follow the instructions carefully. If the front face is in place, it should be at the same height as the flaps of the back cover. Do not forget to screw the screw to complete the installation.

When multiple false code attempts (15 false attempts), the keypad indicates an error feedback during 2min and no longer takes any tries into account.

You must then wait until the end of the 2 minutes to try again. Warning, another false attempt will restart the blockage for 2min. The only way out of this loop is to enter the correct code.

If you can’t remember your code, you can reset your keypad in factory configuration via the reset button for 7s. You will then need to reset your password and pair again your equipment.

When the battery button of your keypad is almost empty, we turn off the sound to save it as long as possible. If by changing the battery button, the problem is not solved, then it may come from a defect in your product.

1. Enter the Main code then press “S” until the lights turn on
2. Press “0” until the lights blink

The keypad is qualified to work with Somfy motor under io or RTS protocol depending on the version of your keypad.

To ensure compatibility with your installation, you must check that your motor is under the same protocol as your keypad and that it’s compatible with sequential mode. Check the instruction manual of your motorization in order to get that information.

When you reset your product, your keypad returns to factory configuration. It is no longer paired to your equipment, the master code becomes the default (default code: 0000) and the secondary codes are erased.

The Keypad only accepts 4 to 6 digits codes to assure a good level of security

There is no dedicated feedback for a low battery. However, if your keypad has sound activated, the sound will automatically be turned off to save your battery as long as possible.

The Keypad does not work on engines that are not under RTS or io.

Security is ensured on several levels. At the software level, the keypad works under RTS and io protocol which have encrypted keys and a protection system against hacking.

In case of reset by a malicious person, the equipment is disconnected so the keypad can no longer control any equipment.

The Keypad is not universal, it works only under the RTS protocol or io depending on version.

The backlight is automatically activated by a light sensor. If your backlight does not work under low light and the feedback leds do not turn on, it means your battery button is depleted.

Press RESET button behind the front face during 7s. Your keypad should show a feedback validation is you succeed the manipulation.

The code must be between 4 and 6 digits.

Backlight intensity cannot be adjusted.

You need to change the master code that is issued by default in the Keypad, especially if you paired an equipment. However, if the Keypad is reset, all the equipments are disconnected.

The backlight of the Keypad only works when the light sensor detects a luminosity low enough.

Note: Before the first installation or after a reset, the master code is 0000

Procedure:

• Enter the master code (If you don’t know it you can reset the Keypad)
• Press “S” until the lights switch on
• Enter your personalized master code (4 to 6 digits) and press “S” to validate it
  • The lights switch off then on
• Enter once more your personalized master code to confirm it and press “S” to validate it
  • The lights switch off

The points to check before selecting a motorised system:
1. Is there a power supply at the spot you wish to install the motor?
2. Does the gate work properly? Does it open and close without needing to be forced?
3. The leafs should be made of wood, PVC or metal.
4. What is the size and weight of the leafs?
5. How much space is available to install the motor (side room)?

Yes, the motorisation will be wired-controlled through the dry contact input.

There are two main types of gate: 

1. Swing gate: Consisting of two leafs, it can be motorised in four different ways:
- Motors with arms. This minimises stress on the structure and opens quickly to protect the door.
- Hydraulic motors These are perfectly suited to small spaces or when your gate is regularly exposed to the wind. However, they are not recommended for PVC and unreinforced aluminium gates.
- Built-in motors. These motorised systems are 100% invisible and installed directly inside the gate!
- Underground motors. These discreet motors are installed under the gate.

2. Sliding gate: Its mechanism can be mounted on the gate itself or guided by rail. For this installation, the motorised system is selected based on the size and weight of the gate.
 

It's more convenient and safer. Instead of parking on the highway and getting out to open your gate, you activate opening by remote control and your gate opens in a few seconds. It closes and locks automatically after you have passed. If anyone tries to force it open, the motor exerts a counter-force. Smooth operation helps your gate last longer.
