1. Type of home: individual house, if it has a garden, consider equipping your system with an outdoor siren with a flashing light. An effective solution to discourage intruders and alert your neighbours. An outdoor siren is not recommended for an apartment, and is sometimes even prohibited.
2. Operation in case of power cut: Rest assured that your alarm operates on batteries and a back-up battery! It will remain active even if there is no power, the Internet connection is lost or there is an attempt at sabotage.
3. If you have pets, consider getting a system with compatible detectors to avoid the alarms from being triggered in an untimely manner.
4. Video-surveillance. When the camera is connected to the alarm central unit, it detects intrusions and can activate the siren.
5. Wired or wireless: the wireless alarm is easy to install and is more adaptable. The wired alarm is more expensive, complex and must be installed by an expert professional.
